Tuesday Rainy day shopping trip

Okay, so I did, in fact, still decide to go shopping this week for some good deals.  Above are some items I picked up at Rite-Aid, CVS, and Wal-mart.

Let's start with the Brita pitcher at Wal-mart.  The pitcher was $8.97, but after a rebate, I will make a profit of $6.03!  Here's how:
  • Currently the 5 cup pitchers are priced at $8.97.  If you go to filterforgood.com, you can get a $5 off any pitcher coupon.
  • In addition, you can print out a $10.00 rebate form from Brita's website, making you a PROFIT OF $6.03 once you receive your rebate.  Awesome!

Next, I hopped over to CVS to pick up a few items.  The products were retailed at $9.26.  After paying with $1.99 in ECB, a rebate of $2.99, and receiving $5.77 in ECB for the future, I made a profit of $1.49.  Here's how:
  • Excedrin 8 ct., $0.99, receive a $0.99 ECB (Limit 2, makes them FREE)
  • Thermacare Heatwraps, lower back/hip, on sale for $3.79, receive $3.79 in ECB (making them FREE, limit 1)
  • Lastly I picked up the Carmex Moisure Plus lip balm, $3.29.  You can print out a rebate for up to $2.99 back, making this $0.30.  Hopefully you can find it on sale somewhere near you for $2.99 or less.
Since I already had to drive past Rite-Aid, I figured why not stop.  I was trying to kill time before an appt. anyway.  Here I picked up the bodywash and dog treats.  Retail was $9.98.  After sales, coupons, and +UP rewards, my total profit was $2.00!  Here's how I did it:

Softsoap body wash, reg. $4.99, on sale for $2.99
-$1.00/1 coupon from Sunday's paper
- $2.00 +UP Reward
= $0.01 profit

Pup-Peroni, reg. $4.99, on sale for $2.99
- $1.00/1 coupon from coupons.com
= $1.99 final price

Then, I paid with a $4.00 +UP reward, making my total 0.00.  Then, I received the $2.00 +UP reward for the future.  And, I still have $3.00 left from before!  Woo hoo!

CVS Freebies! Week of 8/14/11

Wow!  Definitely scan your ExtraCare Card at the magic coupon machine!

When I went into CVS today & scanned my card, I got the following coupons:
  • FREE Carefree pantyliners, 20 ct.
  • FREE Caramello candy bar
  • FREE CVS Fabric Bandages, 20 ct.
  • $0.50 off 1 Big Chill Purified Water, 20 oz
  • $1.00/1 Hershey's Air Delight Kisses, bag
I believe there are some other good ones coming out this week, too - so check it out!

Also, if you like the Minute Clinic on Facebook, they will email you a coupon for a FREE bottle of CVS bodywash!

After coupons, I paid $5.03 out of pocket for the above items.  I did receive $5.00 in ECB back, making my total $0.03!  (Note:  I did have ECB left over from before with which I could have paid, but decided to save them for next week!)
  •  The Big Chill water was BOGO, and I had 2 of the $0.50/1 coupons, so I got 2 for $0.49.
  • I had a free coupon for the body wash.
  • Free coupon for the pantyliners.
  • Gatorade Fit Series:  Spend $5, get $5 in ECB back - so, essentially it is FREE!

Unfortunately my CVS store did not have Caramello bars (yum!) or the bandages from the coupon special (they were out!).

This week there weren't too many deals I was after. Plus, it was my birthday and I was busy!  I also let some friends/family "shop" in my closet of freebies which was great - so glad they can benefit!  :-)

Above is what I purchased at Rite-Aid.  Before using coupons and +UP rewards, the value was $20.85.  After using coupons and some +UP rewards from previous weeks, I paid $0.98 (with tax).  I received $3.00 in +UP rewards, making me a profit of $2.02!

Also, at CVS, I picked up 2 bottles of Gain dish soap (not pictured), which was on sale for $0.99 each.  I used a $1.00 off 2 coupon from this week's insert...so I paid $0.98 for 2 bottles.  I paid with a $0.99 ECB receipt, so it was free!  I have tons of ECB's leftover from previous weeks, so I'm hoping to get some good deals next week!

The Gain dish soap is on sale for $0.88 cents at Rite-Aid, but I wanted to use an ECB at CVS before it expired!

***Bonus*** -->  Buying the Veet this week put me over the $15.00 mark of qualifying beauty products for the free make-up bag available through the Single Check Rebates - yeah!

Here is how my Rite-Aid transaction is broken down:

Listerine, 1 L- on sale for $3.99 each (reg. $5.69)
- Used 2 $1.00/1 coupons (past inserts)
-$1.00 video value (August)
-$1.00 +UP reward (Limit 2)
=2 for $2.98 final price
(Look for the bottles that have an extra free small bottle of the Total Care mouthwash attached!)

Carefree pantyliners- on sale 2 for $2 (reg. $1.49 each)
-$1.00 off 2 video value (August)
= 2 for $1.00 final price
(If you have some past coupons for $0.50 off 1 pkg, you can get them for free!)

Veet - $6.49
-$2.00 Veet website coupon
-$2.00 In-Ad coupon
-$1.00 Video value (July or August)
-$1.00 +UP reward (Limit 4)
= $0.49 final price
(I chose this bottle because I like the product better, but you can find other Veet for around $5.00, which would make this about a $1.00 moneymaker!)

CVS Transaction: 8/7/11

At CVS this week, I used my plan in a below post.

I purchased:

2 Aussie products (1 shampoo, 1 conditioner)
3 Garnier Fructis hair products (1 shampoo, 1 cond., 1 styling)
2 boxes of Orville popcorn
2 bottles of Skintimate cream shave
1 Trident layers.

Before coupons, the value was $43.38.  After using some coupons and ECB's, I paid NOTHING!  In addition, I received $5.00 in ECB and still have some left over from before!  Woo hoo!

Rite-Aid Transaction: 8/7/11

Above is what I purchased at Rite-Aid this week.  Before sales, coupons, +UP rewards, and rebates, my total was $56.93.  After coupons and +UP rewards, I paid (with tax) $16.88.  I received $7.50 in +UP rewards and a $10.00 SCR on the Compound W.  This makes me a small profit of $0.62!  Better than nothing!  :-)  See the post below for the breakdown.
