Tuesday Rainy day shopping trip

Okay, so I did, in fact, still decide to go shopping this week for some good deals.  Above are some items I picked up at Rite-Aid, CVS, and Wal-mart.

Let's start with the Brita pitcher at Wal-mart.  The pitcher was $8.97, but after a rebate, I will make a profit of $6.03!  Here's how:
  • Currently the 5 cup pitchers are priced at $8.97.  If you go to filterforgood.com, you can get a $5 off any pitcher coupon.
  • In addition, you can print out a $10.00 rebate form from Brita's website, making you a PROFIT OF $6.03 once you receive your rebate.  Awesome!

Next, I hopped over to CVS to pick up a few items.  The products were retailed at $9.26.  After paying with $1.99 in ECB, a rebate of $2.99, and receiving $5.77 in ECB for the future, I made a profit of $1.49.  Here's how:
  • Excedrin 8 ct., $0.99, receive a $0.99 ECB (Limit 2, makes them FREE)
  • Thermacare Heatwraps, lower back/hip, on sale for $3.79, receive $3.79 in ECB (making them FREE, limit 1)
  • Lastly I picked up the Carmex Moisure Plus lip balm, $3.29.  You can print out a rebate for up to $2.99 back, making this $0.30.  Hopefully you can find it on sale somewhere near you for $2.99 or less.
Since I already had to drive past Rite-Aid, I figured why not stop.  I was trying to kill time before an appt. anyway.  Here I picked up the bodywash and dog treats.  Retail was $9.98.  After sales, coupons, and +UP rewards, my total profit was $2.00!  Here's how I did it:

Softsoap body wash, reg. $4.99, on sale for $2.99
-$1.00/1 coupon from Sunday's paper
- $2.00 +UP Reward
= $0.01 profit

Pup-Peroni, reg. $4.99, on sale for $2.99
- $1.00/1 coupon from coupons.com
= $1.99 final price

Then, I paid with a $4.00 +UP reward, making my total 0.00.  Then, I received the $2.00 +UP reward for the future.  And, I still have $3.00 left from before!  Woo hoo!
